Why It's Good to Have Running Friends

Today I was set on skipping my run.  My body just didn't want to run.  But when my friend Sarah texted me about getting outside, I had a hard time saying no.  She lured me in by agreeing to walk some of the distance.  :)

It was nice to do some walking, and we soon found ourselves at a 13-minute pace, which is not too bad considering I used to run a 12-minute pace! :)  After warming up, we decided to tackle some of the hill intervals this new plan calls for.

We talked a lot about building GYRO up this summer, and I'm so excited about doing some different runs to build speed and endurance.  I praise the Lord for good friends here in Virginia, and I'm especially grateful to have a close friend that I can run with.
