Good at Tapering

Well, it appears I'm very good at tapering.  Maybe a little too good!  I haven't done anything since my ten mile run last Friday.  I planned on doing a 4 mile run on Monday, but nope.  Nada.  I have had two pints of Ben & Jerry's ice cream since my ten miler though.

Oh goodness.  I've felt lazy the last few days, but I think that's okay.  My friend Sarah encouraged me to get lots of sleep, and that's one thing I've certainly been doing!  I will do a short 3 mile run tomorrow, and then hope for the best on Sunday.

In the meantime I want to stretch, hydrate, and try not to get too nervous!  Any other advice from you experienced marathoners out there?!? :)  Cannot believe I'm days away from running 26.2 miles.  One year ago today I ran 4 miles for the first time.  If I can do this, then anyone can!

  1. Best of luck for the marathon! I did my first this past September, two years after starting 'Couch to 5k.' And my taper? Was like two weeks long... ;)
