This morning Mathis and I decided to run from Christiansburg to Blacksburg and go straight to tailgate before the game. We dropped off a bag with our friends, and then ran 6 miles to meet them at the tailgate. It was a good run, but the game was devastating. We're home now, and I'm exhausted so this will be a short post. It was definitely a lot of fun running "one way" and the weather was perfect (mid-50s).

Hey Nicki!
ReplyDeleteI had a quick running question for you... I am running the Cowtown 1/2 in November and am having a hard time gaining speed in my training. I am only up to 5 miles which is probably not exactly where I should be with the run only 2 months away but I feel like I am just dragging towards the ends of my runs and going SO SLOW! I know that the point of my first race needs to be to finish and not kill my self in the process... but I was wondering if you ran into the same issue and if so what did you do to gain speed? I run an 11 minute mile - which means its going to take FOREVER to finish 13 - help!! :)
Thanks!
