I did my weekend run yesterday, and it felt great. It was cold outside, but I bundled up and ran around the neighborhood. I'm following a plan by
Jeff Galloway right now, and he has me doing speed work every other weekend. Yesterday I needed to warm-up, run 4 x 800 (half a mile) and then cool down. I ran the 800's all around 4 minutes, 35 seconds which I'm really pleased with! It was a fun change of pace (no pun intended!) and I think I'll enjoy doing this throughout my training.
