The Chicken or the Egg?

Am I stressed because I'm not running, or am I not running because I'm stressed?

  1. Even though I don't always like running (and I think you actually do), I will say that running helps me de-stress.

But when you go for a run next, don't think about distance or the marathon or how fast you are going... just go for a run.

Think of Eric Liddell (the guy behind Chariots of Fire). He is quoted as saying, "I believe that God made me for a purpose, but He also made me fast. When I run, I feel His pleasure."

Think about running and feeling God's pleasure, and not about anything else. Maybe that will be cathartic and you'll feel less stressed. :)

  2. i know exactly how you feel.
