This morning Mathis and I ran together! I think this is going to become more of a regular thing which is a lot of fun. I'm getting slightly faster, and Mathis doesn't mind slowing down a bit to stay at my pace. I love that running is something we both enjoy, and that it's something we can enjoy together.
We planned on doing 7 miles (to round out my week to 15), but we just didn't have enough time to fit in the extra 2 miles, so we cut it short to 5 (making my weekly total 13 miles). We ran my 5 mile route of hills in the neighborhood. I love the Huckleberry Trail, but I also love me some hill running. It is tough, but it is soooooo good for me too.
Hopefully I'll do a lot more running this next week although it's hard finding the balance between life and school. I have a crazy amount of summer schoolwork right now, but I still want to make the time to run. My right knee has felt sore all day so I think I'll need to monitor that some the next few days, but I'm aiming for 20 miles this next week!
