CEP Compression Review & Giveaway!

A few weeks ago Jamie at CEP Compression sent me a free pair of CEP Compression Socks and Sleeves to review. I was very excited to try out their products, because I know a lot of runners rave about the wonders of compression socks!

According to their website, "CEP running socks are the first scientifically proven compression running socks to maximize power, boost energy, and speed recovery time".  Unlike other brands of compression socks, CEP features ultimate compression technology.  You actually select your sock/sleeve size by measuring the circumference of your calf to ensure that the fit is just right -- how cool is that?!

CEP Compression Socks and Sleeves have advantages before, during and after running.  Here's what you can expect...
  • Pre-Exercise: muscle activation and reduction of injury risk
  • During Exercise: optimized performance and stabilization, reduced muscle strain
  • Post-Exercise: quicker and shorter recovery phase
I ran twice in the sleeves, and loved it.  I always seem to love running with new apparel, and this was no exception.  Not only was it fun to have the feeling of a new running accessory with me, but the sleeves did a great job of providing some awesome support to my legs.  I definitely felt more strength in my legs, and they didn't seem to get tired as easily.  The sleeves did make my legs feel a little warmer, and I think they will be especially great when the temps cool off in the Fall.  The sleeves are great because you can still wear another type of sock with them.  The sleeves are specifically designed for distances under 18 miles.

The socks are much like the sleeves except with a part covering your foot.  I personally love the fact that they come in pink. :)

The socks provided just as much support as the sleeves, and they can be worn for longer distances.  I've run with the socks once, but my favorite experience wearing the socks was this past weekend after my long run on Saturday.

I haven't done a longer distance like 8 miles in quite a few weeks, and my legs were definitely feeling it by late Saturday afternoon.  I cannot tell you how great it felt to wear these socks as a part of my recovery.  They felt wonderful on my feet.  My shins tend to get pretty sore from time to time, and the compression provided such great relief.  I didn't feel any soreness the next day, and I think the socks were a huge reason.  I will definitely be wearing these socks after every long run.  Plus they look cute, right? ;)  I really do think they have a cute design to them, and if you're not feeling the pink then you can get them in white or black.  I have a feeling I'll soon wonder what I did without these socks.

I have to admit that the sleeves and socks were a little tough for me to first put on.  I equated it to trying to get my Spanx on.  You ladies know exactly what I'm talking about.  But this difficulty only speaks to the great compression of the sock.  And for those slightly challenged runners like me, CEP provides an amazing video showing how to best put on the socks. :)

And because CEP is such a great company, they have offered to give away a free pair of socks to one of you!  I would love to know that you think about their product.

  14. I admit I was skeptical when you came running with the sleeves the first day, but I'm glad they actually worked. Now I am not so skeptical -- I even went to the site to check out more about them! You are a great saleswoman!

I think my favorite part is that you had Mathis take a picture of you in them, though. I LOVE that you think of your blogging while you are doing something completely unrelated like running!
